A Different Story

The Alvarez married couple came from Venezuela 28 years ago, and they became residents for health reasons, in Houston, Texas because Enrique got diagnosed with a Lymphoma and could only be treated in Houston. They left Venezuela with remorse, where they had a good quality life already established, and a successful Hard Ware

business. They came to live in Houston for a year and a half until Enrique’s treatment was finally over which by the way was a success. It was then that the couple had a chance to go back to their country but they felt more comfortable staying in South Florida, to be closer to Houston just in case they had to retake medical exams. For seven years, they did not work in the United States because back then the Bolivar, the Venezuelan currency still held solid, and they lived with the income from Venezuela, for this reason Enrique traveled pretty frequently to Venezuela, until Black Friday. Due to the fact that the currency exchange between the dollar and the Bolivar was becoming too expensive, they decided to open a business in the United States. They started in the Boyton Beach area with the opening of a franchise called Dry Cleaners USA, where they did not have a very good experience due to the fact that their strongest season was only in the summer, but nevertheless they gained a valuable experience in the Dry Cleaners area, one in which they hold to make their business decisions that until this moment have been the most asserted. And now even though they see their son’s death with sorrow, they thank the Lord that such dramatic experience made then realize that in order to find happiness, it is necessary to work in order to live, but not to live for working. Enrique and Alicia are very proud of their oldest son Enrique which is a graduate of Liberal Arts and presently living in Venezuela and their youngest son Charlie which has accomplished high merits and is now studying Information Systems. With the love they share for one another, which is a love that stays fresh and strong like boyfriend and girlfriend, they have been able to overcome life’s obstacles and provide service to South Florida with the best quality Dry Cleaners.
